CENTENNIAL, Colo. — Though not all of the reports had been unconfirmed as of 1 p.m., reports on Twitter showed that the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s office had confirmed two individuals were injured during a shooting at Arapahoe High School in Centennial on Friday afternoon.

The confirmation from the sheriff’s office came after emergency scanner traffic indicated there was an active shooter and a fire at the Centennial are high school, and that at least one student had been critically injured.

As of 1 p.m., unconfirmed emergency scanner traffic indicated that paramedics had been called to the scene and that police were working on setting up a perimeter around the school, which is located at the intersection of South University Boulevard and East Dry Creek Road.

Scanner traffic also indicated that a SWAT team was being called to the school, but that information had also not yet been confirmed as of 1 p.m.

We’re rushing a team to the scene and will update this story as soon as information becomes available
